Follow Up- June 6

Howdy Doody Nelson Family-
      Dad, it sounds like your lesson went well! That is awesome. Sister Holland gave a talk at BYU about her child that was running for student office, after all was said and done it turned out that she did not win, so she came home and said a prayer with her mom and in it she says, "Heavenly Father, thank you for making me who i am, Now I think it is time that I stop asking you for what "i" want to be, but to be who YOU want me to be." It was a really good talk, i know it is after the fact, but i just thought i would share. Anyway i am glad the weather has turned out well, and things are going good? Are you excited to go to driggs? Mom, haha you make me laugh. i Love how you are always going above and beyond, You are truly an incredible woman, and i am lucky to call you mom, not only lucky but proud as well. Josh, how are ya? sounds like school is going pretty good, besides being beastly? haha I hear you went on a date...and it wasnt much fun...haha. Dont you love dates like that? i have a few of those myself. sometimes i just think girls are evil. I even have a scripture that proves satan was a broad.. haha. ;) Jake, don't listen to those last two sentences i wrote to josh, things can apply to different people at different times in their lives haha. So tell me old friend, who is this McKella girl? and more importantly is she cute? cuz if not, then dad you better ground him...haha., I hear you are getting ready to go back down to school and congratulations on your new calling. that is awesome. Hannah, how is summa? are you excited for youth conference, the temple sounds fun, and so does lake powell, i bet the best part though will be the food...then again i can say tat because quite frankly the whole family knows i am obsessed with food. and plus mom is the one in charge of it. ;) Gemma...I got a letter from Elder Jameson Williams the other day and he is going to lead a revolt against chihuahuas...he has given me a few ideas....nah i am just kidding. =) but it sounds like you are all doing well and i love hearing from you. There should be a letter coming your way soon, if it doesnt come today it will within the next couple. =) be excited it hasa pretty funny story in it.
     Well, how are things going otherwise? how is life? how is...EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!! tell me...tell me...ok fine dont tell me....bahahaha. so this week has definitely flown by in a blur...haha i really dont eve know what all happened. but I will try to remember as best i can. So The Willamette valley,(the valley Eugene is located in) is crazy. Willamette is Indian for "the valley of death" haha so lets just say those non existent allergies i had back home....are super existent here. ON Saturday i was like dead, i was sneezing a lot and my nose couldn't stop running haha. it was pretty great. Good times. so do you remember me telling you about those to ladies we talked to and helped weed? well they are basically awesome! we went back and taught them and had a super solid lesson about the book of Mormon and the restoration and answered their questions. then one of them her name is Susan, she wants us to bring her some talks from conference so she can learn about what the women of the church have to say. it is so cool to see them! We also have an investigator named Cody in the singles ward who took two and a half pages of notes on the plan of salvation lesson we gave haha. It was crazy. It might have something to do with him studying to be a youth preacher. but it was kinda cool to see that his prayers have changed a little and the spirit has definitely started to work on him. I love the gospel. Other than that things are going pretty good. Saturday the zone had 29 with a date....then Sunday that dropped to 19...we are not sure what is going on. It has definitely been a learning experience and it has been frustrating to see some of our missionaries get in to thinking that missionary work is like the high school social scene....time to refocus and baptize.and not get prideful and have it as a competition.  the only other frustrating thing that is going on really is that we find all these investigators and then none of them want to see us again. It has been definitely hard and trying on my faith, patience and a little on my teaching and i feel less strong in my testimony. So if yuo all have any ideas i would absolutely love to hear them haha. but dont worry things are good. Life is great, the work is awesome. I just found out that i have to conduct at zone conference. haha woopie.
   I hope you guys know how much i love you. You are truly the best family that ever existed!!!!!!!!!!!!Sorry this email is super short and super lame. It has been raining a lot here and it is wonderful. I love the rain. =) haha. You guys are awesome. thanks for all that you do. If there is anything that you need from me dont hesitate to ask. have fun with all of your fun adventures this week.
