Nelson Family-
First of all, I am so sorry for not being able to email this past week, it has been a crazy week! There is a lot to update you on, and hopefully you got my quick little note and pictures that i sent your way. I wasn't able to email though because President Young gave our zone permission to go up to Portland to go to the temple and see the new visitors center it was quite an adventure and boy was it pretty, I am not sure if any of you have been up to the Temple there or not but it is amazing. so so so pretty. So hopefully you can forgive me.
Jake and Mikella how in the world are you doing???? I got the wedding announcement, it said my presence has been requested at a reception in your honor? Sorry to say it but i wont be able to make it there....but i am super happy for ya. Your announcement is fantastic and i got a big grin on my face when i saw it. So congrats be to you and i am super excited for you. Let me know what i can do to help out.
Like I said there has been a lot of change and things that have happend since i have been able to write last. I guess most important Is that I now have a new companion. He is from Draper Utah, and he is a champion, His name is Elder Weinberg, I served around him before and I am looking forward to working with him. The Work is going to go crazy and explode like "a dictionary in a printer shop" haha (did you get to see that talk from conference?) He has been out for about a year and a half. You guys would like him. He is great. How did you guys like conference? I liked it a lot, it is hard for me to pick a favorite talk, they were all so good, President Eyring and Elder Anderson always seem to catch my attention a lot though. They are great. But there were some major things that i needed to hear. Let me know which talk was your favorite! =)
So there is a part member family that we have started working with and when we first met with them we asked him how familiar he was with the Latter Day saint church and he said "well i have seen saturdays warrior like 30 times" haha so when we met with him again i was like "hey Jeff, you know i have saturdays warrior on cd right?" he laughed and we had a great lesson with him, we shared the restoration but we focused a lot on how the aouthority to have families be forever was restored, it was a great lesson, we had it in the bishops home and after the lesson the bishop asekd Jeffs wife, who is semi less active, where she stood as faras her testimony was and she kinda gave an answere that she wasnt too sure, but then jeff piped in and said "i think she misses it" there is some great potential there, and they have the funniest little 2 year old ever. he is a little goofball.
We also met with Miguel and his family (another part member family) and had a good lesson, we just read out of the book of mormon with them bt it was just what they needed, and he opend up a lot and even asked a few questons so we are excited that he is starting to trust us a lot. Definitley progress made. Liz is doing well, we are meeting with her tomorrow, she has some struggles she is working through but she has great faith and we have had some good lessons with her, SHe has had some things that have prevented her two weeks in a row from coming to church but this last lesson we asked her how she felt when she did these things and she said not very good. So we read Moroni 7 wth her and told her to carefull consider the things that are good and the tings that inviting us to come closer to our heavenly father and to Jesus christ. It was a powerful lesson. SHe is doing well, we are gonna watch some conference with her as there are some she specifically needs to hear.
All in all it was a fantastic week and i am so excited to see all these people and new investigators as they take the steps to come back home. =) thanks for the love and support and the prayers. they are greatly appreciated and felt. You are all in my prayers and I am excited for the upcoming events that you all have. I hope you know how much i love you. Thanks again for the package. =) Sorry about missing last week.
