Well the rain has started haha, it was way pretty a few days ago, the leaves were changing it felt way great and then the past few days have been cloudy and then yesterday the rain came. It made me so happy. I love the rain so so much. It is great! haha, So you said you got a call from the bishop? Bishop Cordon is incredible, by far the best bishop that i have had on my mission. He is so awesome. He loves the work and the missionaries. He is the most involved bishop i have ever met. He had hip surgery like two weeks ago, and the next week in church he wasnt even using his crutches he is such a stud! So in the next few days there should be someone calling you to drop off a package for me...I have some books and stuff that i have found at churches and in apartments that i was gonna send home but then a member offered to take it for me so sory if that inconveniences you at all. It saved me a lot of money though. Haha, feel free to look at the books though, do you remember when we were little we as a family would read the illustrated book of mormon stories? I totally found those in a free pile at the church. so i snagged them. sorry i accumulate (i feel smart i used this big of a word) lots of stuff. haha. So hopefully in the next couple of days they should be calling you.
Well so what did you think of General conference? Wasn't it just the greatest? I enjoyed it so so much. I loved Boyd K. Packers talk, he spoke so well, it was a great one, and the other two that i liked were Presidnet Monsons in priesthood, and PResident Eyrings in the sunday morning session. I can't wait for the ensign to come out so that i can restudy all of them. = ) It was a great reminder of how much Our Heavenly father loves us and how the heavens are not closed. What a great blessing to have in our lives. this week has been a pretty great one, I honestly dont remember everything that happened haha, it has gone by all in a blur. I will tell you some highlights though. Devin is doing great, He is 31...haha so we are going to be passing him off to the elders whose ward he will be in. too bad, but he is doing so well, he loves the church and has already seen so many blessing from it in his life. He said that he has faced some trials from friends about wanting to join, but He then said that he just knows that it is the adversary working hard because he knows the progress he is making. He has an incredible testimony. Also this week, we have done lots of exchanges, haha ever since i have been in Eugene, we average like 2 a week, it is pretty crazy, I learn lots though. And something kinda cool, in oregon, there are lots of spider webs, and they have crazy huge spiders in them, and they are everywhere, like four on every doorstep, well on exchanges an elder and i decided to catch one during our dinner and took it to some members so they could find out what time of spider it is. and guess what?! They are HOBO spiders?! haha, How crazy is that? just a random fact for ya. =)
Well i have learned a lot this week and i want to share just a tid bit of the things that i have learned. i will start with a quote that i read that i really like.

I just liked that alot. It is a good quote huh? and we can relate it to basically everything, josh and jake with school, dad with work or the cabin, Hannah with powder puff, or mom with the amazing race activity. Kinda neat. =) Then i heard an analogy i love about prayer. It is like making a sandwich, we start with a loaf of bread, and that is us addressing our heavenly father, then the ham, cheese, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, everything we put inside, is the personalized things that we thank our heavenly father for and things we may need. He knows everything we need we just need to ask, then we close with another piece of bread and that is who we pray in the name of. Our older brother and savior Jesus Christ. I am excited to start using that in my teaching. =) Sorry these are all random thoughts that i am just typing up for ya. haha. Next one, the other day we were teaching stefan, and we were talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ, faith, repentance, baptism, the holy ghost and enduring to the end. and I know that faith is required in all of these things to make them work, but when we were teaching him the thought occured to me as to why faith is important in repentance, definitely for lots of reasons. But one that had never hit me before was that it requires great faith and trust in the lord to know that when we repent We will be helped to never have the desire to make the same mistakes we have before. Hopefully this is making sense? if not i am sorry. and then just a few little thoughts i jotted down from conference. =)

I remembered how back home we used to always talk about what stuck out to us from conference, and it was to me that they really focused on personal revelation. I am excited to apply lots of what i learned. =)
Well now that i have bored you to death haha, sorry about that. This upcoming week will be a good one, zone leader council is tomorrow, and that will be lots of fun. I always look forward to that. =) Other than that i dont have too much to report. I hope all is going well for you back home. KNow that i love you and am so so grateful for all that you do for me.
