Well hey there one, and all! How is life? How are things going? Sounds like the weather cleared up enough for some of you to go golfing and some of you to go driving. so that is good. Dad to answer your question Yes, we can go golfing on p-day but i havent, i want to but it has been rainy and even though that wouldn't stop me no one else wants to go, and also i don't really have the money to. haha, i have like no money. I kinda spent some of it buying investigators groceries...the sacrifice is worth the rewards. =) I have a talk by John Bytheway called turn off the tv and get a life, it is really great it talks alot about the example you just showed forth. The rightnour family we are teaching, the dad has a flat black harley, (the only harley i have ever liked) it was really pretty.
Jake, your moving home huh? what a party. that will be loads of fun. Have you gone on any dates lately? (like you said before i left the testaments is the only romance i get haha so i need stories from you guys) Hannah...YOU GOT YOUR BRACES OFF???? wow, thanks for the surprise! holy donuts. that is awesome. how does it feel? did you like your birthday present? i sure hope so.
This week we had a great district meeting! I wasn't sure what to teach about, but it just came to me one night while we were with our ward mission leader. It was during our closing prayer, The thought came to me to focus on the Savior and what Easter was really about, because to me in the past I never really had a clear understanding. It was always about coloring easter eggs, eating peeps, and fighting against austin and jake to get the $5 easter egg at grandmas easter egg hunts. So i have these FHE and primary lesson books, that i have been using to teach the Rightnour family, and in them there is a section on the life of the Savior, it shares a scripture then a little paragraph on the story of his life. It is so so powerful! Well i used that story and cut out each part and placed it in an easter egg, We had everybody go easter egg hunting and they all read parts from their eggs. Half way through i shared a story about seminary donuts and a young man who had to do pushups for each person in the class to give them a donut. Well half way through the class students started saying no to the donuts and the seminary teacher said ok just leave it on the desk if you dont want it, and the young man still had to do push ups for them. at the end he did 350 push ups total. 10 for everyone in the class, and like half the class didnt eat the donuts and it closes by saying "and thus it was with our savior, giving his life, even for those who didnt want his gift" it is a way powrful story. I will send you a copy of it. but then we turned it to The Saviors resurrection and finished the stories from the Easter eggs and gave the last ten minutes for people to share their testimonies. It was a really powerful lesson. (i am just trying to be like everyone else in the family cuz they all give awesome lessons) haha.
We saw quite a few miracles this week as well. Two i will share with you. On Tuesday we oym'ed a guy named shiloh, and gave him a Book of Mormon, and as we were walking away he sayed "i am very interested in your religion" so we went back the next day to teach him, and ended up having like an hour and a half lesson on the plan of salvation, it was so great. when we meet with him next we are hoping to set a baptismal date with him. =) it is gonna be awesome. and yesterday elder mcmakin and i were going to see people that we have met doing trattitudes and we went to a house where we met two different guys each time we went there, and this time...we met another different guy haha, he is a bouncer. haha. but we were takling to him and he said he knew the other missionaries and he didnt seem to interested, and so i asked him if there was anything we could do for him, and he said "actually do you guys wanna come in side and say a prayer with me?" so when we walked in he just broke down in tears, and told us that right be fore we got there he was praying for God to send him some help, then we knocked on his door. He is a way cool like. His name is Trevor. also this week we were looking through our phone and called a girl and she said "that is so weird i was just thinking about you guys!" i love seeing miracles everywhere i look!
Well you asked about transfers and what they are looking like...haha to be honest i have no idea. I have started to learn that it doesnt matter so much what i think, the Lord will have his way. I would like to stay, and see the new people we are finding progress. but after this week i feel like I have learned all that i was meant to learn here in Medford...kinda like the pre earthlife. haha. but i dont know. what i will say is that i wouldnt mind seeing what happens especially if it means i get to spend more time closer to President before he leaves in June. I did find out that (oh also this is classified info haha none of the missionaries in the southern half the mission know this except me and those the zone leaders) i am teaching again at leadership training...i just taught at the one before last too. Why does president do this to me haha. oh well it will be good and i am teaching about revelation through church attendance.
