Hey there guys!
     Well so how are things going? First of all, i am not sure if i should be worried or not that dad is mispelling my name in emails haha. should i be? just kidding. it sounds like things are doing pretty darn well, with Hannahs birthday coming up, and her awesome presents and it also sounds like josh is busy as ever.  Jake sounds like he is doing well. Jake i am super proud of your decisions.  Just know you guys are all in my prayers and i love ya. Hannah your present will be coming as soon as i can get it all put together...just know it is an awesome idea. be excited. muhahaha. Mom thanks for the updates on Elder Fowers, when i heard he was going to Fukuoka i was super excited, the first thought that came to my mind was "JARED" =). Sounds like you are still spoiling Gemma like no other...dont forget you used to spoil your favorite child (me) haha just kidding. you still do spoil me. I am so grateful for all that you guys do.
     Dad, sorry the weather hasnt been better for ya. one of these days you will not be winter trunky...the good weather will come. A bees game sounds way fun. Also i was going to tell you my experience of temptation with the byu basketball game. So a few nights ago at dinner we were eating with the bishop and the byu game was on, and if you know me you know i love basketball, and to make matters worse, the bishop was like "hey elders come and watch the game." so i was all like "um..i think we are good, thanks though" and he said "oh come on, Every missionary in the world should be watching this game" and i was all" nah i think we are ok" and he said "come on they need your support" and he was totally serious. like Hard core he wanted us to watch the game, so we basically sat at the table with his wife and daughter while he and his sons watched the game...lets just say i am pretty sure they lost because of this experience haha. the district is doing so great. The work is really going to fly this transfer. i Think the lord is going to trust us a lot and we are all having a lot of fun. after district meeting on friday sister nelson came up to me and was like, "hey i have a referral for you, because you are the only ones in the distrct that seem on the ball" it was funny. the referral isn't even in my area.
      So as you know i have a new companion. Elder McMakin from Montana. He is a really awesome guy. He started his mission extremely rough and basically for the first 6 months of his mission he did not do anything....but since he has been with me he has totally turned around.  The first night with him i told him straight up that he wasnt going to like being my companion at first but as time passed he would see how much fun missionary work can be with obedience. The next day when were out riding bikes he said "man it feels so good to get out and ride bikes" we also pray a whole bunch and he says he has never prayed so much on his mission. He is having fun and things are goingreally well. =) i am really looking forward to being with him. The first night he said that while in klamath he was thinking to himself "man next transfer i hope i get someone like elder nelson" (little did he know haha) so i know he respects me a lot and we are gonna have a lot of fun. just in this week we have had a lot of miracles. so that is what i will tell you about now.
       So on Wednesday we got a phone call from daniel stallsworth, he said "sorry elders i know i havent seen you for a while and i wanted to call and let youknow that i am still here, and i dont want you to give up on me" so we were talking for a little bit then he said "so i am not sure how god talks to us but last night when i was praying God spoke to me and told me i needed to quit smoking for good" and lets just say since that night he hasnt smoked and tomorrow night he is getting baptized at 7pm. he is doing so so great. i love it. that night we went to safeway to get elder mcmakin some groceries, and while walking around we saw this lady who had a fake moustache on...yeah it was funny, and if you know how i used to be with brady, then i can start a conversation with anyone, including about a moustache on a girls face....haha lets just say she is going to feed us dinner, and we are going to start teaching her. it was great. love it. also the assistants came up with a new finding technique called the five highs. it basically consists of talking to five people in an area, and if no bites then go to another area, 5 times. and throughout all of it, you find five things that make you happy. So Elder McMakin and i did one, and we saw funny things. like i found i dime! and this old man with a crazy awesome tie dye hat yelled at us. and we found a new investigator. they are really fun to do. i like them. We have also started doing this thing called a power lesson. basically it is where you share a quick spiritual thought, then you invite the head of the household to offer a prayer and to specifically ask for people to come to their minds for them to share the gospel with. after the prayer you just sit there and let the spirit speak to you. We have done it with two families and both times we have got like 5 or 6 referrals from it. in the first one we did we the whole family came up with someone (except for the dad) and the youngest daughter who is 5, came up with the exact same person her mom did. It was so cool, i love how the spirit speaks to us. i have seen so many miracles and i love it.
       Well i hope you are all excited for conference, i know i am. It seems that during conference i really start to miss my family..but hey that just means i love ya right? i hope all is well, and i hope to hear from ya soon.
