Nelson family-
Hey everyone, how in the world are you all doing? it sounds like you are having a great week so far and that you are all super busy. That is awesome.
Well i know that you are all wondering when I will be calling home this sunday....so i will tell you about my week first haha. It was a pretty good week, full of surprises haha. You asked about Nathan and how he was doing, well he is doing so great. You described it perfectly dad, he has the "new member glow" he just loves the gospel, and is eating it all up. We challenged him to give mormon.org card out this week. He is gung ho about it all. Not only that but he has the scriptures downloaded onto his phone, he is always has the greatest comments in gospel essentials class, and he has the greatest testimony ever. He actually even made us dinner the other night. It was so amazing, he texted us and was like "hey i am gonna make you guys pizzas. one that his normal and the other that might be kinda crazy...'' so we show up to his house and he has two pizzas, one was like hawaiian with special sauce and bacon on it, it was basically the best pizza ever, then he made us this pepperoni and kiwi pizza...lets just say kiwi isn't meant for pizza...especially not heated up. haha. but hey it was a good experiment and lots of fun. =) we call it. Kiwoni. SO all in all Nathan is doing fantastic.
This we had a little bit of poopiness happen. We set the baptismal date with Luke on monday, and were planning on having dinner with him and the member he lives with on friday, so when we got a call from the member thursday night we were kinda concerned. Luke has left the members home, and went back to live with his dad...He said he was going to rehab, but it doesnt look like he has. It is an interesting feeling to think that he was doing so well. and was so happy and positive, It is not fun to watch that little change in progress happen. It makes me realize that all of this is done in the lords time in his way. When the time is right luke will be more than ready as he knows he has support from all of the ward and from the missionaries. its the lords work not mine. =)
We had zone conference this week, it was amazing as always. As transfers are coming up this week, I got a little insight as to what might be happening to me. We had a meeting with all of the zone leaders after with presient and he turned to elder wienberg and said "are you getting all of this down? your companions time as a zone leader is runnign short" then he turned to me and said "real short., I think i want to have you put on your training cap elder nelson" so i am not sure if that is what will happen yet or not. He might change his mind so we willl se what ends up happening. I will know by the phone call home for sure what will be happening. But zone conference was good, we spoke more about the image of christ in our countenance. It was so good, it led me to study the subject even more. as i have been studying i have unlocked a few helper keys to help us make this possilbe. but before i share them with you want you guys to maybe study it as well, see what you can come up with, i would love to hear your insight.
12 And according to his faith there was a mighty achange wrought in his heart. Behold I say unto you that this is all true.
13 And behold, he apreached the word unto your fathers, and a mighty change was also wrought in their hearts, and they humbled themselves and put their btrust in the true and cliving God. And behold, they were faithful until the dend; therefore they were saved.
14 And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye aspiritually been bborn of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty cchange in your hearts?
15 Do ye exercise faith in the redemption of him who acreated you? Do you look forward with an eye of faith, and view this mortal body raised in immortality, and this corruption braised in incorruption, to stand before God to be cjudged according to the deeds which have been done in the mortal body?
Three things that i think help alot are 1) having an abiding trust in God. 2) being humble. 3) being faithful to all we are asked.
If i had more time i would expound more. but let me know what you all think. =)
At last the phone call home. We are planning on being able to call around 5-6. somewhere in that time. So it will be around 6-7 your time. I hope that works...I am looking forward to it. It will good to hear from ya. =) You guys are the greatest. Thanks again for the package. and for all that you do. I hope you have a good week and that it is full of adventure and excitement. I love you guys so so much.
