Nelson Family-

     I cant believe Logan Horrocks has his mission farewell soon. That is super fun! Please wish him good luck for me. And mom good luck with the primary program. It will be great. I love those sundays. haha.

      

          This week brought a lot of new stories to share with you. It was a great week, and lots of fun. Just a quick update for ya though, Liz is doing well, she is still working on overcoming her anxiety and some word of wisdom issues but she came to church this week and she loved it. we have been having lessons in the relief society presidents home and she is a great support for liz. it is fun to watch their friendship grow. Nathan is doing well, he has been a member for a week, and soon he will meet with our branch president to talk about the priesthood, he wants to baptize his mom, so we are excited to see him progress even more. He is so awesome.

   

          Last thursday We got a call from a less active member named Jon, he is a goof, but he caled us and said he had someone he wanted us to meet, and wanted us to come over, wel we went by and met a young man named Luke. He is so great. He has had a lot of troubles in his past and you can just tell that he is lookign for something in his life. When he was 13 he was homeless, his mom passed away when he was 7, and he has had some rough run ins with drugs...but he is very very humble and prepared. We had a great lesson with him yesterday and he has decided that he wants to be baptized on may 12!!!!!!! we are super happy for him. He is meeting with the bishop this week, and there is actually something even cooler that happend. President Young came up to our ward this past week and taught the third hour as a combined with the priesthood, relief society and young mens and young womens. Basically just to get the members more involved in missionary work. It was a super powerful meeting, and Luke Met president Young there. It was perfect, I think it helped Luke to see the power and influence of having a loving environment to be in, and that he can have support for the righteous actions that he is taking. It was cool.

  

        After church we had a special meeting in a members home, it was basically an investigator fireside, where me and Elder Weinberg taught a lesson for the investigators and recent converts and less active members, lots of invites went out and we were expecing a good turnout but it didnt quite work out that way hha, but luke came. We taught about the importance of acting immediately on promptings that come or way. We used vidoes from mormon.org, and lds.org. like President Uchtdorfs talk Waiting on the road to damascus, and the special easter message from president Monson. It was a good meeting and very spiritual. The Highlight for me was when President young asked luke to listen closely to what we share over the next few weeks. and it was really cool because Luke said "i will" then he looked directly at me and said "i like this guy, not sure what it is, he is just happy and energetic all the time" it made my whole day. Luke is an awesome guy. I am looking forward to seeing him turn his life around. =)

 

       All in all the week was fantastic, I am so so glad that i know what i know, i have been reading a lot lately out of Mosiah and just in to Alma, and it is interesting to think about the trials that we are put through in our lives, thinking of investigators, and the other things that we go through. It is  even more exciting to see afterwords the growth that comes our way, as mosiah 23:21-22 says,21 Nevertheless the Lord seeth fit to ^achasten his people; yea, he trieth their ^bpatience and their faith.
22 Nevertheless—whosoever putteth his ^atrust in him the same shall be ^blifted up at the last day. Yea, and thus it was with this people.
I firmly believe that Just like we are promised, if we put our trust in the Lord everything will work out for our benefit. I love that promise. and if we were to change it around a little bit, It could be said of each of us, "yea, and thus it was with this family" or investigator or anyone!!! Love it.
Mom, sorry i am not too sure what time we will be calling on mother day yet, but by the next email i wil let you know for sure ok? So no worries. =) it will probably be around 6? is my guess, but dont take my word for it yet haha.
