Hello Hello, HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO YA!!!! Yup as you can see my companion has a way that makes it possible for me to upload pictures for you all to see. SO i hope you enjoy these photos. I realize that it has been quite a while since i have sent any home...sorry about that. Hopefully ths makes up for it a little right? So...how are you all doing?
As for me, on this halloween p day it is quite laid back. We have to be in our apartments by 7 tonight so we are just doing quick stuff then will probably go back to our apartment and write letters and...PLAY BADMINTON!!!!! Elder clark and i both have discovered a passion for badmitton and we do it for our morning workouts haha. It is pretty great. Also i have decided that i am not the biggest fan (actuallynot at all) of halloween. Kinda sad to watch. On the bright side, this week has been super incredbly fantastic!!!!! I seriously love grants pass. it is the best.
Let me explain it to you. We now have three people on date to be baptized. Daniel will be getting baptized this saturday, and on the 19th we have nichole getting baptized and on december 3rd we have a lady named christina getting baptized. They are all super solid. I will kinda tell you about all of them. Daniel is 16, and is just amazing. His mom said that he could get baptized if he kept all of our commtments and appointmens (his mom basically made him solid!) So he has, he has even left his friends houses to come to appointments!!! Nichole we meet with every sunday at a member in the wards home (i sent a picture of us all) and she is super awesome. Last night as we were teaching she asked us what commandments she would need to start living to make this covenant (her exact words) i was super impressed she already knew what a covenant was!!! She is awesome and super fun to teach because she is basically already a member and we just have lots of laughs. Christina...we have seen so many miracles with her this past week. She has opened up so much to the gospel. She wasnt able to make it to church this week so we went over to her house and she felt way bad, she was sick and then she told us that her two sons found her copies of the book of mormon and started reading it, then they sat down as a family and all read like three chapters of it, and now her 8 year old son asked her if he can get baptized too!!!! What a miracle.
Yesterday in church i got to teach a class to the youth of the ward about mormon.org while elder clark taught the adults, it was funny, one of the youth called it "faithbook" facebook for mormons haha. It was funny. Hopefully it got them super hyped to do missionary work. We did some role plays and the girls wanted to vs the guys to see who was better...the young women were a lot better...
Ok so highlight of the week, on Thursday night at our call in conference with the assistants they challenged all the zone leaders to get 45 oyms in one day, so Elder Clark and i took it to heart, and we set out the next day to do it. We pushed ourselves and got 56...but that isnt the hightlight part of it. The even cooler part is that we hadn't seen any success from our work all day. We had talked to so many people and no one was interested, and we wanted to see a miracle. so as the day wore on it was about 8:55, and we were walking around, and this girl shouted to us, "hey have you seen my dog?" and we were shocked that someone actually was talking to us, so we helped her look for her dog for like 10 minutes then went back to her and told her we couldn't find it, prayed with her, and then elder clark said "we have been looking for a family all day to share a message with about christs restored church" so long story short, she and her family are now investigators. It is a family of 4 or 5, and we just felt super blessed because it was like 9:15 at night and we had been working hard all day. It was like we were being tested for patience haha. What an incredible feeling to know that our Father in Heaven is willing to bless us if we are willing ot put forth our effort. Well, i am about out of time, so i want to let you all know that i love you so so much. Thank you for all that you do. Know that i love you. I love this church so much. I love how happy it makes everyone. Dad you said it best, the book of mormon brings a feeling of comfort and peace whenever you read it.
