Well my oh my, what a week it has been, in both Utah and in Oregon. =)
Life here in the good old grants pass it pretty awesome. =) This week has flown by and lots has happened, and i have learned a lot. Lots of a lot....I will give you updates on all that has happened as of late! I will start with the picture that i sent, Like i said before we had zone leader council this week and boy was it incredible. The night before we drove up (about a three and a half hour drive) and went to the assistants to pick up t shirts for our group picture the next day. So when it came time to take the picture we all suprised president young by putting on the shirts that had his face on them that said "president is my homboy" we gave one to sister young too,so president was super shocked when we all just put on the shirts, it was wayfunny,(obviously my story doesnt do the real life thing justice,) but zlc was awesome. half way through it president surpirsed us and told us that we were going to take a lunch break and tour autzen stadium!!!!!!!!!! so we got there and the tour guide was like "afterword we are touring matthew knight arena if you want to come along." so president was like "yeah we'll be able to go." haha so we got to tour the new basketball court and the football stadium. And i will just share with you a little bit about what was learned. The university of oregon, spares no expense in having the best of the best. They make sure to out due everyone else, and they have the finest detail on even the littlest of things. We went back to zlc and compared and likened the things from that to us as missionaries. It was cool to see that we need to make sure we have even the smallest and most simplistic and basic things down in order for us, to be the best missionaries we can be. we have to have the smaller parts down in order to win the big picture. And we need to be willing to take the risks.
other events from this week, our investigator christina it turns out is as solid as we would like her to be. Lately we have been getting vibes that she is wanting to use the church for money and welfare, or plan of action is to see her today and tell her that our job as missionaries is to bring people closer spiritually to christ, not to help with money. We are hoping to take the approach that we are there for spiritual help and if she stilll wants to learn she can but there is nothing we can do for her as for things pertaining to money. It is definitely hard though. haha. but on a brighter note, Daniel and Nichole are still both doing awesome. They are so fun. other miracles from this week, President invited the whole mission to do a day of sacrifice, and have everyone skip district meeting and go out and tract for two hours, so we did, wanting to find a family, well as the morning drew to a close it was looking like we wouldnt find anyone, and then!!!!! At 11:58 we found a person who was interested, and then right after 12 we found another family! I love seeing these small tender mercies of the lord.
Other than that not too much to report. It has been a great week, and lots of learning and fun. I hope you are all doing well and life is fantasmatic for you. oh yeah, do you remember last week when i told you the dog story about that lady named Jennifer??? well we taught her last night and she is awesome. Turns out she has 5 children and we had a super awesome first lesson with her last night. =)
