Well i dont really know where to start this week i really have seen quite a few miracles. (we have set 3 baptismal dates in 3 days) I will start the week from monday, because that experience is really powerful. So a few weeks ago Elder Sorenson and i were doing our weekly planning session, we came to a point that says "prayerfully identify members to seek referrals from" so as i was doing this I had a family The Chichonis, come to my mind like three times. so On monday Elder Redfearn and i had the opportunity to go and see them, I told them the reason why i was there and said i would share a message with them and while i did i wanted them to think of someone for us to teach, because there was a reason we were there. so after i shared Alma 36:3 with them i looked up and the wife, had a huge grin on her face, so i asked her if she had someone come to mind, she then told me about a young lady that she has brought to church before and asked if she could join and get baptized, it was kinda cool, the husband didnt think of anyone, but then i asked the oldest daughter and she said the same person that came to her mom's mind came to hers too!!! it was awesome, the spirit was so so strong! the next day We went to see Steven King (recent convert) and he gave me and Elder sorenson a way cool compliment, he thanked me for all that we had done for him, so i said "if we didnt do it somebody else probably would have" then he said "no..no...there was something different about you and Elder Sorenson, i have talked to missionaries before and they were all jerks. You two just seemed..." he thought for a second then said "pure." it made my day! Then as we were leaving the family that he lives with paid me a compliment, the said "when you leave we need to keep in touch, we were talking about it yesterday and we are gonna miss you." if you met this family you would understand how high of a compliment that is! he is a retired marine, who s super super intense, they are awesome. i was so happy!
so now i will tell you about the dates we set this past week, on friday elder Osborn and i went to teach a guy Patrick Robertson, he is so so solid! during our lesson we were talking about the priesthood, and Joseph Smith and how he translated the book of mormon with the power of god, well his response was..."if he really did that through God, that means he was a prophet...which means...you guys are the true church and have the right bapism!" i was all like.."yeah pretty much!" it was awesome, he is getting baptized January 22nd. the next day I was with Elder Redfearn, and we had dinner at a members house who is all girls so they bring a male over, who is not a member, but we had never taught him before, and during dinner they asked about Patrick, and the lessons we teach, and then Dustin (the guy they brought) asked..."what are the lessons?" that was my queue. haha after dinner i decided to take the initiative, and since i was with Elder Redrearn i was kinda solo, he stays pretty quiet during lessons...but i love that kid. So anyway, we taught him, and committed him to baptism on the 29th of January... he is a way cool guy and i am excited for him. The next baptism we set i was on exchanges, but while i set one, my companion set one too. so it is all good, the one i helped set though was a 14 year old, who is super solid. It was a really cool experience. Good times.
so now that this post is fetching long, i apologize, i will tell you a funny story, on tuesday, when i was with elder Redfearn, we walked passed a school bus where the bus driver was smoking so we go up to tal to her, and out of no where she started laughing, so i looked over at elder Redfearn and he had a pixie stick in his mouth and he was pretending to smoke with them, it was hilarious!!! guess you had to be there...so anyway. Well i think that is about it, i probably lost josh and jake halfway through this email so i better end it while i still have mom reading it. ;) i sure do love you guys and i miss ya lots.
