MTC-Week 1

So this past week in class we did a fun activity, we learned to be like Dan Jones, and preach from a soap box. We had to teach the fall of Adam and Eve in under 30 seconds...yeah i totally did it in 16.16 seconds. you can be impressed. haha. We had a FANTASTIC lesson by my teacher brother Vallett. He taught us out of Helaman chapter 5:4 about how nephi yielded up his judgement seat to preach the gospel. I took that to heart, and i have been working really hard on not quoting movies or singing songs that remind me of home. and luckily i dont have a girl to write so that part is easy haha. it is pretty hard to not sing songs though...especially disney...

 

so here in the mtc, we have a thing call the TRC, the teaching resource center, it is where residents of Provo come in and pretend to be real investigators, and my companion and i were teaching one of them and on his second lesson we committed him to baptism!!! after he broke character and told us that it was the closest he ever felt to baptism here. haha i was way excited.

i am learning loads which i love, and the food is making me way out of shape ahah. but i am taking good care of myself mommy dont worry ;)

 

oh by the way i heard that boise states basketball coach is ranked number 5 in the nation. that sounds promising!!! haha keep me updated.
